Class DropNullFields
- java.lang.Object
-
- software.amazon.awssdk.services.glue.model.DropNullFields
-
- All Implemented Interfaces:
Serializable
,SdkPojo
,ToCopyableBuilder<DropNullFields.Builder,DropNullFields>
@Generated("software.amazon.awssdk:codegen") public final class DropNullFields extends Object implements SdkPojo, Serializable, ToCopyableBuilder<DropNullFields.Builder,DropNullFields>
Specifies a transform that removes columns from the dataset if all values in the column are 'null'. By default, Glue Studio will recognize null objects, but some values such as empty strings, strings that are "null", -1 integers or other placeholders such as zeros, are not automatically recognized as nulls.

Method Detail
-
name
public final String name()
The name of the transform node.
- Returns:
- The name of the transform node.
-
hasInputs
public final boolean hasInputs()
For responses, this returns true if the service returned a value for the Inputs property. This DOES NOT check that the value is non-empty (for which, you should check theisEmpty()
method on the property). This is useful because the SDK will never return a null collection or map, but you may need to differentiate between the service returning nothing (or null) and the service returning an empty collection or map. For requests, this returns true if a value for the property was specified in the request builder, and false if a value was not specified.
-
inputs
public final List<String> inputs()
The data inputs identified by their node names.
Attempts to modify the collection returned by this method will result in an UnsupportedOperationException.
This method will never return null. If you would like to know whether the service returned this field (so that you can differentiate between null and empty), you can use the
hasInputs()
method.- Returns:
- The data inputs identified by their node names.
-
nullCheckBoxList
public final NullCheckBoxList nullCheckBoxList()
A structure that represents whether certain values are recognized as null values for removal.
- Returns:
- A structure that represents whether certain values are recognized as null values for removal.
-
hasNullTextList
public final boolean hasNullTextList()
For responses, this returns true if the service returned a value for the NullTextList property.
-
nullTextList
public final List<NullValueField> nullTextList()
A structure that specifies a list of NullValueField structures that represent a custom null value such as zero or other value being used as a null placeholder unique to the dataset.
The
DropNullFields
transform removes custom null values only if both the value of the null placeholder and the datatype match the data.Attempts to modify the collection returned by this method will result in an UnsupportedOperationException.
This method will never return null. If you would like to know whether the service returned this field (so that you can differentiate between null and empty), you can use the
hasNullTextList()
method.- Returns:
- A structure that specifies a list of NullValueField structures that represent a custom null value such as
zero or other value being used as a null placeholder unique to the dataset.
The
DropNullFields
transform removes custom null values only if both the value of the null placeholder and the datatype match the data.

-
toString
public final String toString()
Returns a string representation of this object. This is useful for testing and debugging. Sensitive data will be redacted from this string using a placeholder value.
